The Bant Butts deck did not take a big hit from losing access to mythics and rares. It only lost a few cards and lands. While the mana is slightly more challenging, this is a very fast deck that can end games quickly with Tower Defense. Having both enablers that allow you to attack with a creature's toughness - High Alert and Huatli - in this format makes this a formidable deck. Getting down a Tetsuko to allow you to attack unblocked helps finish off opponents. JT drafted this deck in an Ikoria premium draft and made it work. While it didn't always win, when it did, it did so in style. In one game, JT cast three Zenith Flares and both Ulitmatums. Yes, the mana base is greedy, but when it worked, it was awesome.
